How long have you been in business?
We have been in the erection business for 32 years, we have been manufacturing for more than 5 years. What is the life expectancy of the powder coated epoxy? With proper cleaning and scheduled maintenance the paint should last at least 30 plus years on the exterior as well as the interior. What about freezing temperatures? Freezing temperature does not effect the coating. Our coating is not porous therefore, there is no water penetration. Shrinking and swelling does not effect the coating, since there are no air pockets. Will you design to meet our specifications? We will design to meet the engineers’ specifications as long as the specifications are not less than AWWA standards. Do you meet AWWA standards? Yes. We meet AWWA D-103-97 What is the warranty? Our standard warranty is 2 years. However, we have several extended warrantee options: 5 years and 10 years. Who does the erection? We do all the erection. Since we are providing a warranty, we want to have full responsibility for the project. What is the life expectancy of the mastic? The mastic is advertised as lasting 30 yrs; although since 1949 there has not been a tank failure due to mastic in normal water conditions. Can you repaint the tank? Yes, the sealant that we use will be between the laps as well as on the exterior. When the tank needs to be repainted you can sandblast and repaint. Proper sandblasting will not hurt the sealant or remove the metal from the panels. |
